Orders and delivery
How long does delivery take?
Ready-made items are handed to the carrier within 7 business days, and GLS usually delivers within 1–2 business days after dispatch. Tabletops are made after you order, which takes about two to three weeks.
Where do you ship?
To Hungary and every country of the European Union. In Hungary you can also choose a Foxpost parcel locker or MPL postal delivery. The available methods and prices are always shown at checkout.
How can I pay?
The available payment methods appear at checkout and are processed securely by the payment provider shown there. We never receive your full card details.
Returns and damage
Can I return a product?
Yes. EU consumers may withdraw within 14 days of delivery, and we also accept return requests for eligible, unused items within 30 days. Email your order number to info@marquetryworld.com and we will send instructions. Unless the item is faulty, the return shipping is paid by the customer. What if my parcel arrives damaged?
Photograph the packaging and the product, keep the packaging and write to info@marquetryworld.com as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours. We will sort it out with the carrier.
Products and materials
Is the pattern really made of wood?
Yes. Every line of the pattern is real wood veneer, cut precisely and assembled by hand — there is no print and no foil.
Why might my piece look slightly different from the photo?
Many of our pieces are made to order, so some product images are visualisations; these are marked on the product page. Natural grain and colour also vary from piece to piece — that is what makes each one unique.
How do I look after the waxed surface?
Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth, avoid standing moisture and strong cleaning agents, and refresh it with natural wax about once a year.
Tabletops
Will the tabletop fit my height-adjustable desk?
Our tabletops are made as direct replacements for height-adjustable desk frames, with the mounting holes pre-drilled for the chosen size. Sizes: 120 × 60, 140 × 60, 140 × 80 and 160 × 80 cm, 1.5 cm thick. If you are unsure about your frame, send us its model and we will check it.
Can I order a custom size or pattern?
Yes, we also take bespoke designs and interior projects. Write to us with what you have in mind. Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to items made to individual specifications.
Phone cases and DIY kits
Which phone models are the cases available for?
For current iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models; choose yours from the list on the product page. If your phone is not listed, ask us.
What do I need for a DIY kit?
Everything is in the box: frame, base with self-adhesive film, pre-cut veneer pieces, a numbered diagram and instructions. No glue is needed; a few small bowls help with sorting, and a craft knife (sold separately) makes the small details easier. Children should work under adult supervision.
